Affirmations for Health Care Workers, with great gratitude

These affirmations are created for our health care workers, to offer inspiration as you begin your day of service during this pandemic. thank you for your support.


We begin with a quote from Rainer Maria Rilke
“Believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”–

and this quote from Abraham Lincoln
"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”

My companion, courage joins me throughout the day and reminds me that I have just what I need in this moment.. Courage infuses my plans, my decisions, my interactions, my relationship with myself and others

As I begin putting on my Protective equipment, I remind myself that my purpose as an effective health care worker is dependent upon my own self care.

The fierce protective mother bear within me, takes in a deep breath.

The guardian within, surrounds me with a powerful energetic shield.

I now feel my feet firmly grounded on the earth.

I feel a sense of focus and intention flowing up through my body from the bottoms of my feet to the crown of my head.

As I connect with this sense of groundedness and strength, my focus becomes determined and mindful.

From this place of strength I now create a practice of mindful, careful, steps to carry out this protective methodology effectively.

The importance of my own self-care begins with wise attentive self protection.

I make one wise choice at a time, with compassion for both myself and my patient.

Throughout my work day, I am aware that my protective equipment and actions are most effective when I disconnect from any distracting messages that take me away from my focus and following my protocol.

When I feel discouraged, I bring to mind an image of those loved ones and patients that I am choosing to protect at this time..

When I feel fear, I take in a deep breath and connect with my love and commitment for providing compassionate care to each individual I encounter.

E My focus and purpose is strengthened by the energy of my team. Knowing we are all working together for the same goals.

Throughout the day as I feel fatigue, I pause and take in a deep breath and reconnect with my purpose for doing this important work and I am once again infused with energy and focus .

I call on my spiritual resources and my inner resources to keep me in alignment as I navigate this unprecedented time in our world.

In this moment I now connect with golden healing light, flowing down from the top of my head, over my shoulders and arms and throughout my body, clearing and cleansing.

This healing light surrounds and supports me throughout my day.

I am prepared now with both visible and invisible protection.

And I now surrender to trust in my immune system’s ability to protect me as I return once more to helping those in need of my skills and my compassionate presence.
